aeqi vs Cofounder: autonomous company platforms compared.

Choose Cofounder if you are technical and want department agents working inside your own GitHub, Vercel, and Stripe accounts, keeping revenue and code in your own name from the first commit.

Choose AEQI if you want the company itself — a website, a staffed team, and a memory that compounds — running today, hosted, without an afternoon spent connecting accounts.

What Cofounder is

Cofounder describes itself on its homepage as letting you “run an entire company with AI” (as of September 2026): an agent orchestration platform that delegates engineering, sales, marketing, design, finance, and operations to department agents, moving through Launch, Grow, and Operate phases that cover positioning and websites, prospect outreach, and an LLC incorporation add-on. It raised an $8.7M seed led by Union Square Ventures. Onboarding provisions real infrastructure in your own accounts — GitHub repositories, a Vercel project, a Supabase database, a brand kit — and you connect your own Stripe keys, so revenue flows to you directly. As of September 2026, Cofounder Pro starts at $120/month, with a Team plan at $100/seat/month still listed as coming soon.

Cofounder is the better choice when

  • You are technical and want department agents working inside your own GitHub, Vercel, and Supabase accounts, rather than a platform holding them for you, with a brand kit, positioning, SEO analysis, and ICP analysis generated as part of onboarding.
  • Owning the Stripe account and the repository from day one is non-negotiable, so revenue and code sit in your name from the first commit and the first sale, with an LLC incorporation add-on available once you are ready to operate.
  • You want to steer the work yourself, task by task and approval by approval, with SOC 2 compliance, multiplayer collaboration, and priority support once the Team plan opens, and would rather be able to migrate off the platform someday than depend on it for the accounts themselves — a real consideration if platform risk matters to you.

AEQI is the better choice when

  • You want the company running today rather than assembled over an afternoon of provisioning repos, projects, and database keys, with agents that already hold 314 tools across 31 services, so a new integration doesn’t require provisioning anything yourself.
  • You want memory that belongs to the Company itself, not context shared inside a workspace, so a decision made in June still shapes what an agent does in September, queryable rather than buried in a chat log, the way a person’s own notes would be, not a transcript nobody has time to search.
  • You want flat pricing you can see before you commit, rather than a usage-based plan that can run past its base price as work scales, with nothing sent, published, or paid without first passing your Decisions pane.
  • You are not a developer and don’t want to become one — describe the business in one sentence and the Company forms, on a server with your own name attached, with API, MCP, and CLI access if you outgrow the interface — the same afternoon you would otherwise spend just creating accounts.

The difference in one sentence

Cofounder is an orchestration layer over infrastructure you assemble, own, and keep in your own name — GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, each wired in by hand; AEQI is the company itself — already staffed, hosted, and remembering — launched by one sentence rather than an afternoon spent wiring up separate accounts one at a time.
